California Proton Center
The state-of-the-art California Proton Center opened in February 2014, making it the nation’s fifteenth proton facility. Using accelerated particles, or protons, the California Proton Center is able to precisely target cancerous tumors with high dose radiation. Creating a restorative, welcoming environment for its patients is paramount. Thus, the 102,000 square foot facility features healing gardens and is surrounded by rows of drought tolerant plantings, providing a landscape that is both sustainable and soothing.
