Project Description:

Visitors to Frank Gehry’s New World Symphony “Music Box”, are welcomed in by the Miami Beach Soundscape. The innovative space provides an interactive indoor/outdoor space for symphony supporters and the general public. Formerly a stark parking lot, the 3-acre green space is now alive with activity, serving as a relaxing meeting space during the day and vibrant arts hub at night. As a cultural center, the Miami Beach Soundscape plays host to a number of notable events, including Art Basel and film festivals. Architectural elements cleverly conceal audio and video equipment throughout the park, while a criss-crossing system of paths form a mosaic pattern.
