UC Berkeley Memorial Stadium

Project Description:

In 2010, UC Berkeley’s Memorial Stadium closed for renovations; it reopened in 2012 as one of the most state-of-the-art stadiums in Division 1 sports. BrightView provided landscape construction services inside and out, with a scope that encompassed the game day field and exterior landscape. Inside the stadium, work included a new synthetic turf football field, soil cement treatment, draining, grading and installation of field accessories. Outside, site and wall drainage was installed, along with irrigation, landscape planting and site furnishings. To reduce waste, 99% of the site’s soil, concrete and construction debris was recycled, while tree preservation efforts saved existing trees.
