Development Work in Colorado Springs Honored
BrightView Development earned second place for their work at Vermijo & Sierra Madre Streetscape Reconstruction in Colorado Springs, Colo.
BrightView Development now have another award under their belt, this time thanks to a recent hardscaping contest.
Hundreds of submissions were received from around the world, but just a handful of winners were chosen. Conducted by Keystone Hardscapes, a distributor of pavers, retaining walls, and other segmental concrete products, the annual contest was judged based on design and installation of the hardscapes, and other factors.
BrightView Development earned second place for their work at Vermijo & Sierra Madre Streetscape Reconstruction in Colorado Springs, Colo. Vermijo, the premier green street in Colorado Springs, showcases sustainable practices while accommodating both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Due in part to the revitalization of Downtown Colorado Springs, this six-block urban renewal area includes granite walkways, smart technologies, storm water management, and landscaping that creates a unique urban neighborhood for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The work from BrightView included more than 35,000 square feet of granite paving, 22,500 square feet of concrete unit pavers, and a robust site furnishing package that included bollards, benches, trash receptacles, and parking meters.
“During the course of construction, our team worked through many complex challenges, including supply chain issues during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Adam Rice, Area Superintendent, BrightView Development. “We are happy to successfully complete this year-long project and develop meaningful relationships with all of the groups involved.”
