Veterans Memorial Park in Pottstown, Pa., is being revitalized thanks to the work of BrightView and other local businesses. The clean-up project is leading up to the fourth-annual Pottstown Veterans’ Community Day Sept. 28. The event will honor local veterans and celebrate their service to the country.
Butterflies Flutter into New Garden at Nemours Hospital
While working her summer at inpatient services at Nemours, 17-year-old Kendra Kaericher wanted to brighten the day for the patients and families and knew a butterfly garden would do just that. She used a grant to nurture more than 200 caterpillars into butterflies in her living room and also had input into the garden’s design.

The re-opening of Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, part of Independence National Historical Park, can be described in one word: incredible. Caroline Weilert, BrightView Vice President of Marketing and Brand Management, was recently awarded the Comerica Bank Best of LA Women’s Business Award for the month of December. She was chosen for the Woman of Business category, which acknowledges women executives who are non-owners of the business.
BrightView, CBRE Install Trees, Landscape, Garden for South Dallas YMCA
BrightView employees led teams of volunteers from CBRE to install flower pots, enhance the landscape, and bring in topsoil for the vegetable garden at the Park South Family YMCA. Members of the YMCA will now be able to grow produce for their community and also use the garden as an educational tool.
Hunt Heroes Foundation and BrightView Landscapes Partner to Donate Bikes to Military Children
Fifty military children received new bicycles and helmets that were donated to the Hunt Heroes Foundation from BrightView, a partner of Hunt Military Communities on many of its properties. The lucky children were chosen from nearly 200 essay entries on what it meant to be the child of a service member.
