BrightView is proud to brighten up the IndyCar Series race in Detroit.

When talking about racing in the IndyCar Series, you’ll commonly hear references to pit lane, pole position, chassis, and the like.

Landscaping isn’t typically in the conversation.

BrightView is working to change that as they enhanced the IndyCar Series experience through its efforts at the Detroit Grand Prix.

BrightView’s team provided extensive landscaping support for the event, beginning with mowing and vegetation control in spectator areas, and applying herbicide to manage weed growth.

In the week leading up to the event, teams transported and set up 150 decorative pots in the pit row suites and flowers across key areas, including the winner's podium, premium restroom trailers, and entry points.

Tree pruning was also handled by BrightView to ensure safety and clear sightlines for television coverage. Maintaining the health of the plants throughout the busy event was another major effort.

“The BrightView team was essential in creating and preserving the visual appeal of these landscape installations throughout the race weekend,” said Paul Carrick, Enhancement Manager, who oversaw the Grand Prix project. “We’re proud to partner with such an influential player in the racing world and bring a little green to their event.”
