Course Conditions that Fall Short of Expectations
Pacific Palms Resort boasts beautiful grounds, a full-service conference center, and two 18-hole golf courses, the Eisenhower and the Zaharias. Yet in 2007, despite extensive renovations of both courses, playing conditions weren’t of the caliber expected for such a premier destination. Both the owners and management felt they weren’t getting the return on their maintenance investment. Expert help was needed.
THE SOLUTION
A Maintenance Program that Yields Better Conditions and Increased Savings
Working with Pacific Palms management, we developed a golf course and grounds maintenance program to cut costs and bring conditions up to par. Additionally, the Eisenhower and the Zaharias became pilot courses for testing our proprietary resource and management planning program. The results were outstanding. We were able to produce consistent quality at a level of efficiency never achieved before in the golf course maintenance industry. We also assisted Pacific Palms with building their fleet of Club Car golf carts and replacing old turf equipment, leveraging our pricing advantages to save the club money.

In the first year of its partnership with us, Pacific Palms experienced a savings of more than $200,000 over previous budgets. Plus, course conditions were better than ever, and people were starting to notice. In 2010, the golf industry named Pacific Palms the NGCOA National Golf Course of the Year. Much to everyone’s delight, the excellence continues at Pacific Palms with the “Ike” and “Babe” courses consistently delivering an exceptional golf experience to the increasing number of players who visit.
