BrightView Maintains National Municipal Golf Course of the Year
This is BrightView: Golf
From a concept that was first envisioned 15 years ago to being named National Municipal Course of the Year, BrightView has supported Palm Beach County’s Osprey Point Golf Course in Florida every step of the way.
“We cherish all of the properties and golf courses we oversee,” said Dario Pascua-ponce, the course’s superintendent out of BrightView’s Boca Raton branch. “Because Osprey Point sits along the eastern boundary of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and serves as a transition between urban Boca Raton and the northern Everglades ecosystem, it requires an exceptional level of care and environmental stewardship.”
The award was presented at the recent National Golf Course Owners Association gathering, recognizing the course’s excellence among municipal facilities nationwide.
As a direct result of BrightView’s management and environmental practices, the 27-hole course earned Audubon Classic Sanctuary status, a distinction recognizing properties that meet rigorous conservation and wildlife protection standards. At the time of certification, Osprey Point was only the second course in the country to achieve this honor.
The course is home to a remarkable range of wildlife, including a family of bobcats, alligators, raptors, and tortoises—further underscoring its unique role as both a premier golf destination and a carefully preserved natural habitat.
“BrightView is a valued partner that provides exceptional support to our golf operations,” said Paul Connell, Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation for Palm Beach County. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team. Osprey Point continues to stand out as a premier public golf destination, attracting visitors from around the world while remaining a cherished favorite among local residents. It sets the benchmark for excellence in municipal golf.”
