Remaking California’s Historic Redlands Country Club
This is BrightView: Golf Maintenance
It started as an idea in 1896 between 30 men.
Almost 150 years later, that idea continues to flourish as Redlands Country Club, one of California’s most uniquely designed golf courses.
But somewhere in the club’s rich history, the course lost its shine. The fairways were plagued by weeds, greens and tees became stressed, and the overall playing conditions and level of detail had lost its luster.
Members wanted their course to ascend to where it once was.
They called BrightView.
“In order to get our course to where it needed to be, we needed an expert. We turned to BrightView,” said Chris Wilson, Golf Chair – Redlands Country Club. “BrightView listened. They listened to our issues and developed a plan to meet our needs. They are a valued partner and do what they say they’re going to do. But the best part of our partnership is working with their employees who are out on the course every day. They are tremendously professional.”
One of the most notable endorsements of the course’s turnaround came from former PGA Tour two-time major winner, Ryder Cup Captain, and current Redlands Country Club member, Dave Stockton.
“The BrightView team delivered improvements that have exceeded all expectations,” Stockton said. “I truly believe hiring BrightView has been a pivotal moment for Redlands Country Club.”
“We are very proud of our legacy within the golf industry,” said Terry McGuire, Vice President, BrightView Golf. “Our client/partner focus is our North Star and this is just one more example of what our industry experts and passionate team of nearly 80 Golf Course Superintendents can do to revitalize such a valuable asset.”
