For the past two years, BrightView has proudly served the campus of Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. As COVID-19 began impacting the country, BrightView continued to show their support for healthcare works on the front lines.

While working her summer at inpatient services at Nemours, 17-year-old Kendra Kaericher wanted to brighten the day for the patients and families and knew a butterfly garden would do just that. She used a grant to nurture more than 200 caterpillars into butterflies in her living room and also had input into the garden’s design.

With a timeline of merely 90 days, BrightView tackled the extensive landscaping workload at the hospital, including irrigation, site furnishings, decomposed granite trails, bioswales, curbs and sidewalks, custom concrete seating, decorative concrete planters, a green roof, and more.
