BrightView Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BV) (“BrightView” or the “Company”) today reported results for the third fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2018.

Outsourcing landscape management significantly improved the look of Mercer's campus, contributing to increased enrollment while also reducing costs. While many factors play into enrollment, first impressions matter and landscaping plays a vital role. Mercer University enrolled the largest freshman class ever in 2013 and has increased total enrollment by 10.6 percent over the last five years. 

A significant number of employers across multiple industries fell far short of the requested complement of H-2B workers needed to help them through the height of the landscape season. BrightView has taken all steps possible to prepare for and address the now expected annual shortage of H-2B workers. We feel confident that our valued clients will not notice any change in the quality of service they have come to expect from BrightView.

The spring's seemingly-endless amounts of rain put BrightView behind its schedule, but used the time to advance education for team members through training sessions.

For the second consecutive year, BrightView’s Mid-Atlantic teams played host to a soccer tournament in Leesburg, Va. Participants included teams from 12 branches and more than 500 attendees.

Students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida worked with BrightView volunteers to complete an outdoor leaning space, adding educational gardens, a butterfly garden, and a reflective and tranquility garden.

Satisfaction and occupancy rates were being affected by the sub-par landscaping, but after working with BrightView, Asbury Methodist Village's landscaping enhancement was completed in 45 days. Over the course of a five-year contract with Asbury made $1.1 million in savings.

While working on the first phase of the Malibu Lumber Yard's development, the city enacted a development moratorium to solve wastewater and runoff water quality issues. The landscape had to meet this new criteria while exceeding the benchmark for sustainability.
